Consolidated Parameter and Abundance Results
The tables given below are the consolidated results from
- Luck, R.E. & Heiter, U. “Stars within 15 Parsecs: Abundances for a Northern Sample,” 2005, Astronomical Journal, 129, 1063.
- Luck, R.E. & Heiter, U. “Dwarfs in the Local Region,” 2006, Astronomical Journal, 131, 3069.
The tables give all stars (planet hosts, comparison stars, and 15 parsec starts) in HIC order. Planet hosts are identified in Tables 1 and 2. 15 parsec stars can be identified from distances given in Table 1.
Table 1 Content:
- HIC: Hipparcos Number
- HD: Henry Draper Number
- HR: Bright Star Catalog Number
- Other: Other Designation
- SpTy: Spectral Type
- m: apparent V magnitude
- M: absolute V magnitude
- Parallax: from Hipparcos.
- Parallax Error: from Hipparchos
- d: distance in parsecs.
- Host Codes: H = Close Giant Planet host. B = Brown dwarf host.
- Abundance Code: N = No abundances

Table 2 Content:
- HIC: Hipparcos Number
- HD: Henry Draper Number
- HR: Bright Star Catalog Number
- ID: Other Designation (Internal)
- T: Effective Temperature (K)
- G: Effective gravity (log cgs)
- V : microturbulent velocity (km/s)
- Fe: [Fe/H]
- σ: Standard deviation about the mean of the [Fe/H] ratio.
- N: Number of lines (Fe I) used in the iron abundance determination
- Vm : Macrotubulent velocity (km/s)
- Type: G = Gaussian R = Rotation profile. At Vm < 5 km/s the two profiles are indistinguishable and we assume a Gaussian.
- Host: H = Planet Host B = Brown dwarf host.
- Li: Lithium abundance (or limit). Value is log ε(Li) where log ε(H) = 12.
- Code: A – D are quality of fit with A the best fit. L denotes an abundance limit.
- <[C/H]>: Average [C/H] ratio.
- <[C/Fe]>: Average carbon to iron ratio.
- σ: Standard deviation about the mean of the [C/H] ratio.
- <[O/H]>: Average [O/H] ratio.
- <[O/Fe]>: Average oxygen to iron ratio.
- d: Dependence of the [O/H] ratio on a variation of +/- 0.3 dex in the carbon abundance

Consolidated Table
Gives all of above plus mean abundance per element per star relative to H (<[x/H]>) and Fe (<[x/Fe]>). Available only as an Excel table.
